Meeting in Ljubljana

The second partners’ meeting of the EVERYONE (Energy harVesting EuRope YOuNg Engineers) Erasmus+ project was hosted by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Ljubljana on October 25, 2024. The meeting began with a review of the project activities completed thus far, where each project partner presented their accomplished tasks to the group. This was followed by a discussion among the partners about upcoming activities and the dissemination plan.

Following this, two joint student theses were presented. The first joint thesis was a collaboration between the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Ljubljana and the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Padova, focusing on the experimental research of hydrokinetic turbines. The second thesis was developed in partnership between the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Rijeka and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Ljubljana, involving several CFD (Computer Fluid Dynamics) simulations for a real hydroelectric power plant currently under construction.

The third part of the meeting was dedicated to professors from each of the three project partner faculties. During this segment, the professors discussed their teaching techniques, sharing insights into what they teach their students and the methods they use. This aligns with the goal of the EVERYONE project, which aims to enhance knowledge of renewable energy among young engineers and standardize the type of material taught across a larger number of faculties in Europe.
